Cai Wei is one of the rare Hainan born artists doing outstanding contemporary artwork. He is an avid reader and has deep thoughts and insights on the philosophical propositions of Kant, Nietzsche, Freud and Foucault. Therefore, his painting creations involve a pursuit of universal human values and display unique personal colors and symbolism. His latest works are expressionist paintings in intense blues that have been invited to exhibit in Paris and Barcelona this year. Since 2005, his works have been exhibited in major exhibitions around the world: Sanya, Haikou, Beijing, Hangzhou, Italy, Spain, France and Japan.
